The flatbreads were insane, and all the food was absolutely delicious. We stopped in for a meal after a day walking in the Lakes. It’s a lovely pub with a homely, local feel and a gorgeous fire to warm you up. I foolishly left my hat behind, but the staff kindly posted it back to us in Manchester. 10/10 for the place and the people.

A top notch hotel with really good meals and super staff. I can’t recommend it enough if you want to explore the West Lake District.

Stopped at the Kellbank for an evening meal and drinks, and wasn’t disappointed. The food and drinks were excellent quality, the meal was well cooked and tasted great, and the staff were friendly, polite and efficient. Would highly recommend a visit.

We were a family group of 18 staying in seven rooms at the Kellbank for a family funeral gathering. Check in and check out both went smoothly, and they looked after us really well. The wake buffet was fantastic, with excellent food and perfect service. Our group had breakfast the next morning, and it was hot, perfect and very tasty. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the rooms, restaurant, bar area and outside were all well looked after. My family and I will definitely stay again in the near future.

We usually rent a cottage for New Year, but this time our group of nine, including children, wanted to try something different. The rooms were spotless, the walks were lovely, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. We ate at the hotel on our first night, then went back every night. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, and breakfast was delicious. It’s a lovely little find. We’ll be back next year, and might try it in summer.
