Dinner was delicious on all three nights, and the staff were so friendly and relaxed. We also really liked the old-fashioned feel of the place. It seems to suit the surrounding landscape, though that kind of atmosphere won't be for everyone. Our first room was cramped, with a tiny, poor-quality bed. When we raised it, they offered us a bigger room with a better bed for an extra fee, which we appreciated. Breakfast was tasty but had few choices, and the coffee wasn't what we're used to, though that seemed true across Scotland. We also found it inconvenient that there was no drinks price list. It's worth recommending, but we're not sure we'd come back because the rooms are quite basic. Maybe the lodges would work better, though we're not sure if you can book one for just two people.

The chicken and haggis was beautifully presented, and the food was delicious. The menu was fantastic, though the meal was very expensive. I didn't stay here, just ate at the restaurant on bank holiday Monday. Afterwards, I had coffee in the lounge and a few drinks before heading out. It was very quiet and felt a bit short on atmosphere, and the decor is very dark. Pricey but tasty, £40 for two courses and £28 for two double whiskies.

The hospitality at Kinord Hotel and Restaurant was what made our meeting memorable. We met in a cozy wooden, vintage-style space, and the coffee waiting for us when we arrived was a nice start. Lunch was a set meal of club sandwiches with hot, creamy lentil soup, and both were lovely. The meeting itself went well too. With good food, excellent service and cozy surroundings that seem perfect for Deeside walks, it's a standout choice. I look forward to going back for a meal or staying in one of their bungalow shaped rooms.

We stayed for three nights and will stay longer next time. The rooms were very clean and a good size, and the staff were great. Breakfast was fit for a king. It's a first class Scottish hotel in a great spot for visiting Balmoral Castle. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed.
