Matt was attentive, friendly, really knowledgeable and happy to share information. We couldn't fault our stay. It's a proper traditional pub, with a welcoming atmosphere and a very good choice of food and drinks. The food was delicious, and our room was clean, warm and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We enjoyed our meal, with plenty of choice, and the staff were friendly. It's a lovely pub in a great spot if you want to experience rural Dorset. We had a good stay and hope to return.

The village is stunning, and it's a lovely rural pub. Matt and his staff welcomed us warmly from the moment we arrived until we left. The food was great and there was a wonderful drink selection. Thanks for a wonderful weekend break, guys, and thanks to Joe,Jenny and basil the dog 🤣😂 We'll be back in the new year.

We had a delicious lunch at The Brace of Pheasants. It was great to see local produce on the menu and choices that were a bit different from the usual. The team were so welcoming, and didn't mind our noisy puppy 🐶. There are lovely local walks for working off that yummy pudding too. A great pub I'd highly recommend. Thanks from Kelly, Toby, Henry, Lyn(Grandma), Ian and Beau and Marley🐾🐾

A proper old pub with a lovely atmosphere and excellent food and wine. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was a delight. Their wine list is unusually good too, whether you want to push the boat out for a special night or not.
