Fernhill Hotel

We stayed for two nights and had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The service was good, and the meals were tasty and satisfying. Our room was spacious, with a good-sized bathroom and bath, and the comfortable beds made for a good night's sleep. The dining area and some rooms look out over the village from the top of the cliff, and the view is a delight even at night. There’s parking at the front, and an extension round the side means most visitors should find a space. We enjoyed our stay.

We’ve stayed at the Fernhill before and enjoyed this visit too. The staff were exceptionally friendly, efficient and welcoming, and the bed was very comfortable. We’d booked a superior room with a little terrace overlooking Portpatrick, and the view was wonderful. The room and bathroom were very dated, though. The furniture and fittings were old and scruffy, and the bathroom needs updating. The shower inside the bath was really good, but the flush button on top of the WC was missing.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and a real credit to the hotel. Our room was lovely and spacious, and the food was delicious. The hotel has fantastic views of Portpatrick and is extremely pet-friendly, as is most of the town. It’s also very reasonably priced. We’ll definitely be back at the Fernhill.

We had a lovely one-night stay. Our room was amazing, quiet and had everything we needed, with a stunning view over the town and sea. The huge, beautiful bathroom felt like something from a five-star suite. Breakfast the next morning was lovely too, and we could enjoy the sea view while eating.
