The Farmers Inn

The people were so kind and welcoming, and the place itself was magnificent. My husband, father-in-law and I loved our stay. The room was excellent and the food amazing. Thanks for a lovely couple of days.

The food was lovely and there was a good choice of drinks, but the way the barmaid was treated really spoiled the visit. We had booked for 7 and she showed us to our table, then the owner, I assume, shouted and swore at her and moved us away from it. We waited by the bar for our drinks. She looked very upset, yet served us with a smile and carried on working. After bringing food out, she burst into tears, apparently after being shouted at in the kitchen. I understand people can get frustrated when it’s busy, but it isn’t fair to take it out on one person. Managers should show respect to their staff. She deserves credit for carrying on while upset. Kindness costs nothing. Take a breath and speak respectfully.

The countryside setting was lovely, and the hills looked amazing. I had a great stay, with good food and lovely beer. My room was spacious, and the shower had really strong pressure.

We stopped here on the way home from Perth to North Wales and had a really lovely stay. The old pub was cosy and gorgeous, and Colin, the landlord, was a lovely host. We enjoyed the food and drinks, and breakfast the next morning was tasty and plentiful. Our room was modern, clean and tidy. The shower was the most powerful I’ve ever had. A hidden gem I’d highly recommend.
