Edenbank Hotel

There’s parking and a beer garden out back, and the hotel is a large Victorian house that still has lots of its original features. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. It’s a quiet little find near Dumfries town centre, with staff who are pleasant, helpful and really go out of their way to make your stay right. I can’t thank the staff and management enough.

Stayed for a week in the lovely corner room. The staff were fantastic, friendly, and always ready to lend a hand. Superb wee place.

Lots of choices, tasty food and nice surroundings. The service was first class. Would highly recommend.

I work outdoors around the country, and no other establishment has ever refused to let me use the bathroom. Here, someone who looked like a manager turned me away and seemed to take pleasure in denying what felt like basic courtesy. Mere minutes earlier, the lovely barmaid had let my male colleague use the bathrooms. That may or may not say something about the kind of man running the place, and what the staff have to work with. Truly appalling. I certainly wouldn’t consider staying here on my next work trip.
