The conservatory at Bayswell Park Hotel looks out over the moody Firth, and the whole afternoon tea was presented beautifully. We had five teas to choose from, each brought in a lovely teapot, and the staff were warm and kept checking in. There was plenty of variety. We began with either the Chef's soup, which I picked, or a selection of sorbets. The savoury tier had a crawfish croissant, avocado focaccia, spicy haggis wellington, and a BLT in a soft poppy seed roll. For dessert, the chocolate mousse in its little plant pot, complete with chocolate and cashew soil, was a real highlight. A gorgeous afternoon, and we'll be back.

The waves breaking against the rocks below made a lovely backdrop while we worked our way through a huge stand of food. Before that, we could choose soup or sorbet to cleanse the palate. The attention to detail was impressive in both the presentation and the flavours. Fantastic afternoon tea, and we'll definitely return and tell our friends and family to try it when they're in Dunbar.

The chocolate mousse garden pots were such a cute touch, and there was a great mix of sweet and savoury food. Everything tasted amazing. We were with friends, and from arriving to being helped through the door with my pram, the staff made the visit easy and welcoming. Had to share how lovely the afternoon tea was straight away. I'll definitely visit again.

We had a lovely stay, with good food and a dramatic view of the sea. The room was clean and lovely, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The complimentary bottle of fizz for my birthday made it feel extra special. For a really good three-star hotel, it had a lot going for it. A little more light by the dresser and a larger, full-size mirror would have made the room perfect.

We've enjoyed afternoon teas in lots of places over the years, and we both agree that The Bayswell Hotel in Dunbar was the best and most delicious we've had. We visited today and the food was absolutely lovely. The service was excellent too. Thank you again.
