We had a really enjoyable weekend in a great city. It's only five or six minutes by bus to Durham Centre, and I may come back next summer for the Durham Miners Gala. The hotel had comfortable, clean rooms and good showers. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of quality food in a comfortable setting. Well done to Andrew and Lee for the service. Receptionists Rhona Neil and Chris were also so helpful, polite and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We'll definitely visit again.

The staff were welcoming, friendly and courteous. I've stayed at quite a few Premier Inns, though, and this one's rooms feel dated. There's no air conditioning, just an electric wall heater, and we only had one set of pillows and one set of towels. No late check-out either. We could hear noise through the extractor system, so the place needs updating.

The Premier Inn is very old, and while it was clean and comfortable, it could use an overhaul and upgrade. The man on reception was extremely welcoming and helpful when we arrived. He booked dinner and breakfast for us without any fuss, then we settled into our room.

I come here regularly for work. The rooms are great, and the food is superb when you get the meal deal.

It's a bit unpredictable here. You can get a surprisingly good meal for the money, though other times the food's below par but still edible. When it's busy, the wait for that below-par food can be terribly long. The staff are always nice and seem to be trying their best.
