The Sheldon

The bed was comfortable, and although it was near the town centre, the spot itself was peaceful. The whole place felt charming, almost like an art piece, and we were welcomed warmly. The reception was friendly and really helpful. Thanks, Steve! I'd stay again when I'm back in Eastbourne :)

The breakfast has lots of tasty options, and the hotel's main areas are beautifully decorated. Rooms feel lovely and cosy, and the staff are super nice. I've stayed here several times when I've come to a nearby board game event, and to me it's the best place to stay in Eastbourne.

The hosts and decor were the best part, and the whole place had such a welcoming, home and family feel. We loved having CK around too. Steve and Anna were especially friendly and incredibly helpful, going out of their way for us and our crazy kids. The rooms were great, the beds really comfy, breakfast lovely, and the location fab.

The room had that classic Victorian size and height, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Breakfast was great, and they showed us the extra rooms where guests can relax, along with the facilities, including a record player. The building dates to around 1880, and the owners are still adding to and changing it, giving it character with the Sheldon team. It came up when I needed somewhere last minute for a gig, just a few minutes' walk from the beach. Parking has a 1.9m height limit, which matters if you're in a van, but Steve kindly helped me find another private parking space on the premises. We were greeted by CK the dog, who's a lovely feature of the place. Thank you.
