We stayed in August 25 and won’t be returning. The room was filthy, curtains hanging off, lamps that didn’t work, tea or coffee splashes all over the walls, and clumps of hair on the floor. Be careful booking online, since the room shown in the advert definitely wasn’t what we got. When I asked about it, the rude man at the desk said the photo was only for show. Shame, since we stayed at pearls and pebbles three years ago and it was really nice, which is why we came back. I guess the owners are different now, with no customer service skills, and they certainly didn’t seem concerned that we were unhappy with the room.

The room was relatively clean, but freezing. A plug-in electric heater was the only source of heat. There was no iron or hairdryer, and the water pressure was so low that showering was very difficult. There were no front desk staff at night or early in the morning.

I stayed because it was cheap. The hotel has a reasonable location but no facilities, and the room was quite dirty. The bed was fairly comfortable. I probably wouldn’t stay again unless I had no other choice.

The staff were polite, knew the area and were really helpful. When I left my swipe card in the room and locked myself out, they even got up in the early hours to let me back in, sorry! The room was clean, secure and comfortable, and the hotel is only 30m from the beach. I really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend booking if you’re staying in Eastbourne for more than a day. If there’s a room available next time, I’ll definitely come back.

We were very satisfied for the price and would consider booking again if we plan another trip. The hotel is perfectly placed right by the beach and close to the city centre, where everything is available. Staff were helpful and did what they could to make us comfortable during our short 2D/1N stay. Our room was clean and spacious, with comfortable beds for a good night’s sleep. The big bath was my favourite part, especially after a long journey.
