Cavendish Hotel Eastbourne

I’ve been at the Cavendish for three weeks now, with my divorce pending, and the staff have been so helpful and accommodating. OZGE especially. Having my dog with me is a real bonus. My room is lovely and has a sea view. I don’t need housekeeping every day, but when they do come, the work is incredible, thank you Sophie. There’s plenty of tea, coffee and toiletries, plus a fridge in the room. It’s really good value. I haven’t tried the breakfast or other meals, so can’t comment on those, but I have only good things to say. Thank you, Cavendish.

For what we paid, I really can’t complain. The room was a little dated, but clean, cozy and warm, with crisp bedding and towels. It was peaceful, there was plenty of tea and coffee, the hot water was lovely, and I slept well. Just what we wanted while visiting family. The reception and bar area are beautiful, too.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and made me feel welcome throughout my stay. The hotel is old but absolutely beautiful inside, full of history and character. It’s a shame the exterior doesn’t show how charming it is. This historic building is an important part of the city’s heritage and deserves to be appreciated and valued again. I hope it gets the recognition it deserves.

The building is beautiful and the location is great, just a two minute walk from the pier. We had a lovely suite with a stunning sea view, a nice bath and a clean, comfortable bed. Great value, and I couldn’t fault the room. The woman who checked us in was a little rude, unfortunately, though all the other staff were great.
