For one night in Edinburgh, my clean room had everything I needed, including tea and coffee. The location isn't right in the centre, but town is only about a 15-20 minute drive away. Check-in went smoothly once I had the instructions. I only got those on the day, though, so I had to email and call beforehand to follow up. I'd recommend it if you need a reasonably priced place near Edinburgh.

We picked this guest house for its location, about a 10-minute walk from my conference venue, and it was also easy to reach on several bus routes. We stayed 25 June-20 June 2023. The room was spacious, though basic, with no kettle or other amenities.

I left my Apple Watch cable and adapter in the room. When I contacted the owner, she said she'd look into it, then ignored my calls and messages for a week. On my next call, she said nobody had found the cable, which was why she hadn't replied. After I said I would leave a review, she told me she didn't want to talk and said to contact Booking.com. The accommodation itself was acceptable, but I found this response unprofessional and disrespectful of guests' belongings. Future guests should be cautious when booking here.

My parents are elderly and pretty picky, but we all enjoyed our weekend stay. The room was big and clean, and the toilette was clean and cosy too. It's easy to reach from the airport, and there are plenty of buses to the centre, about a 10-minute ride away. Check-in was just a matter of ringing a bell, so it may not suit someone looking for a proper welcome. Still, it's convenient and fairly priced, and I'd definitely recommend it for that.
