Blossom House

The hosts were really helpful, and I loved my stay. It’s in a great spot, with several bus options nearby and an easy enough walk to downtown.

The stairs could be an issue if you have lower body problems. For me, traveling alone, the small room and bathroom were just right, and the room was warm, cozy, quiet, and comfortable. The host was lovely and gracious. Buses stop about 100 metres from the door, though I walked to the Royal Mile and Princess St. most days. It was a pleasant 15-minute walk, and the location and people were both great.

We’d stay at Blossom House again. The bus route right outside made getting to the city centre easy, and our host was pleasant and helpful. We stayed three nights in a large, very clean room on the first floor. The bathroom was a bit small, but we managed fine. Breakfast was a nice spread of cereal, fruit, yogurt, cheese, and bread.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the shower was hot and powerful. The room was clean and tidy, with plenty of tea and coffee. I stayed one night, and the small bathroom had what you needed for that length of stay. Breakfast was very meagre, though that seems to have been standard during the pandemic. I’d have rated it a 4 if breakfast had been better.
