Falcon Crest Guest House

The room had complimentary shortbreads, a nice touch, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The hosts were lovely and helped us check in early; we had a fun chat when we arrived. The accommodation is fairly close to a Skylink 200 bus stop, which worked well for an early flight when we wanted to avoid spending too much on a taxi.

Breakfast had a big selection, and there was more than we could finish. Our room at Falcon Crest Guest House was clean, tidy, and had everything we needed. The hosts were friendly and really helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would come back.

We slept like babies in the comfortable bed. The room was nice, cosy, and comfortable, and breakfast was delivered to the room, with plenty of tasty food. The hosts gave us a lovely, friendly welcome and were very helpful. Really good guest house, highly recommend giving it a try. ♥️🙏

My mother travelled from London to stay one night at Falcon Crest guest house. Her train was delayed by a fault on the line, turning a journey that normally takes five hours into six. She'd come straight from work as a doctor, so she was arriving late, through no fault of her own. The way she was treated felt inhuman. They called her while she was still on the train and threatened not to let her in, even though she'd already paid. Once she checked in, she asked if she could add breakfast for the next morning. The answer was a blunt, aggressive “no” because she had arrived late, leaving her without breakfast in an unfamiliar place on a Sunday morning. I suspect there may have been a racist element to the hostile service. She's 65, and they showed no understanding of her situation. Please avoid this place. I'm filing an official complaint with Edinburgh council, and I don't think they should be allowed to operate.
