Glenalmond House

Jimmy is AMAZING, so attentive and helpful. This was our favorite room on a three-week trip across four counties. The only drawback was the limited storage space for a family of three.

Jimmy and Fiona put a lot of care into looking after guests, and they were great hosts. Breakfast had a good selection, and the meals were prepared very well. The lounge and breakfast room are lovely, and the lounge has an honesty bar. Everything was immaculate, cleaned daily, and the towels were replaced. I also appreciated being able to open the windows for fresh air. The hotel is centrally located, with a bus stop nearby, and has parking. All rooms are up one flight of stairs. My room was beautiful, though a bit small, and the bathroom was small too, with a tight shower. It was quiet most of the time, so I slept well, but the bed was a little hard and the pillows could be better. I enjoyed my stay and would come back. The price seemed about right for Edinburgh.

Breakfast was GREAT, with a nice mix of hot and cold options. The scrambled eggs with salmon were especially tasty. Jimmy and Fiona are excellent hosts, and the rooms have comfortable beds and are well equipped. They're not especially large, but about the same size as other B&B rooms we've had. We'd stay again!

Fiona and Jimmy were incredibly nice and welcoming. They even lent me a personal phone charging cord until I could buy one, and clearly put care into every part of the stay. The house and rooms were exceptionally clean and well kept; the bed was comfortable, and towels were replenished each day. We enjoyed our three nights here. Breakfast was fantastic, and the location made it easy to get anywhere in the city. I'd highly recommend it.
