Highfield Guest House

A small deli is just across the street, and the bus stops for the city are about a five-minute walk away. The hosts were very kind, and we can wholeheartedly recommend the guest house. The rooms are small but lovely, quiet and very clean, with what you need: a hairdryer, shampoo, bottled water and a small kettle for making tea or coffee.

The owners were lovely, helpful and polite. My check-in was late at night, so we arranged everything through WhatsApp and they had it ready. The area felt quiet and safe, with plenty of buses straight to the centre. My room was warm, perfectly clean in the bathroom, and had tea and chocolates. Breakfast was excellent. When I had an early tour in Scotland, they packed some food for me since I couldn't be there for breakfast. I was travelling alone and had a perfect stay. I'd come back.

The neighborhood was charming and quiet, and getting into town was easy on the local bus. The hotel is around a 20-minute walk from the centre, and strolling around the block was lovely, those houses are gorgeous. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The woman who checked us in, whose name I can't remember, was stellar. She went out of her way to draw us a map and explain the transport options. A real gem. We'd absolutely stay again and highly recommend it.

Kate made our first trip to Edinburg so much easier and better. She gave us a really warm welcome and lots of advice on good places to eat and drink. The room was amazingly clean and tidy, which I don't say lightly. We'd definitely recommend Highfield and come back. Thanks again!
