Agnes, the hotel manager, made check-in feel so warm and helped me out a lot. It was my first time in Edinburgh, and she made me feel right at home. My room and bed were spacious and really comfortable, so it was easy to relax and sleep well. Breakfast was lovely and peaceful, and the hotel is in a beautiful location. I had a wonderful stay and would happily come back. Thank you! 😊✨🏨 Lots of love, Alyona Lozovska

Getting into the city centre takes about 20 minutes by tram, and the connection is easy. The hotel looks nice and friendly, the staff are welcoming and hospitable, and the service was great. Carmen in particular is a 10/10 manager. My room was spacious, bright, clean, modern, and well maintained, with the things I needed. Breakfast was delicious. I’d definitely stay here again. R

The staff are super friendly, and for the money this is good value. I’d consider coming back, though I’d be adamant about getting a top-floor room for noise and one nearer the elevator, as I did this time. The place gets busy, so expect to wait for the elevator, especially in the morning or at checkout. It’s easy to reach by tram or bus, and I got directly from the airport to the hotel on the tram in under an hour. It’s right on the Ocean Terminal waterfront. The hotel could use some touch-ups, and I don’t think cleanliness, maintenance, and upkeep are where they should be. I skipped breakfast most days, and was glad I did: it was limited, mass-produced, and often not hot. You get good value, but if you’re after luxury, another IHG location may suit you better.

For a budget hotel, the five stars are deserved. The rooms are good, and the WiFi was good too. It’s right beside the Royal Yacht Britannia and a tram stop, with trams into Edinburgh every few minutes. Shops are nearby, and local pubs and restaurants are an easy walk away. The hotel is clean and well maintained, and the team are welcoming, helpful, and very efficient. Allan is a credit to the hotel industry.

The hotel is well priced and handy for both driving and public transport, so I’ll happily stay again when I’m next in the city. I brought my dog to HIE, Leith, which was a great bonus. Casey was lovely to deal with throughout. I’d called earlier to check details, and she happened to be the one who helped me then too. She welcomed us at check-in and gave my dog a lovely little welcome pack. The pet-friendly room was as close to reception and the exit as possible, which was perfect for taking him out for walks. Breakfast supplies and the staff were first class as well.
