For a practical, clean and affordable Edinburgh stay, ibis budget Edinburgh Park worked really well for us. Check-in was fast and friendly, and the staff were helpful and welcoming. It's just minutes from the airport, next to a train stop with direct service to the city centre, and close to shops and quick places to eat. The room was compact, as you'd expect at a budget hotel, but spotless. Bed was comfortable, shower was properly hot, Wi-Fi and TV both worked, and the bathroom felt modern. The towels were soft too.

Reception were helpful, and the hotel did the job for a couple of nights. It's a cheap option right by the airport, with a tram into the centre, though the ride takes a good 35 minutes. The room was very basic and didn't offer much privacy. The shower and sink are in the main room, and the toilet door has a gap at the top. Still, it does the trick.

The TV in our first accessible room wasn't working. My mum told reception, and a gentleman from the front desk came up to see if he could sort it out. He couldn't work out the issue, but apologised over and over. We kept telling him it wasn't his fault. He even offered us free pizza, though we'd just eaten, around 6pm. Since he couldn't fix the TV, he arranged another accessible room for us. The TV worked there, and the heating was already on. We were really grateful for how attentive and understanding he was. His professionalism and kindness made the stay a positive one. I was there with my disabled mother from December 3rd to 5th. The accessible room was ideal, and the bathroom had enough space for her to move comfortably. She especially liked having a seat in the shower. Apart from the TV problem, the room was perfectly fine, and we had a pleasant stay.

We've stayed here twice and would recommend it if you're on a budget and want to see sights in or around Edinburgh. Getting to the city centre by public transport is easy. The hotel is near the airport, but it wasn't too noisy. Good value for the price, clean, and the staff are very nice.

We wanted an affordable hotel near Edinburgh Airport, and this one worked just as we'd hoped. The room was small but clean and practical, with a shower cabin and toilet, and the mattress was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. There's a bistro downstairs for drinks, food or takeaway, and paid parking costs a few pounds. It's about eight minutes by car from the airport, so we made our early flight without trouble and avoided a late-night trip there. We'd use it again when we need somewhere convenient near the airport.
