We waited about ten minutes after being told to take a table, but nobody came over. When we ordered two cocktails, another staff member arrived ten minutes later to say they were out of basil for one of them, so we asked for it without. Meanwhile, two or three other tables came in, got seated and were served. We waited another 10 to 15 minutes with no drinks, then left. Absolutely shocking service, especially for a quiet Saturday afternoon.

The food deserves top marks. I had pancakes with bacon and maple syrup, and he chose the full Scottish. Service was fair, but the furnishings let the place down, with rips in the seat.

We celebrated Christmas here and had a great atmosphere in our booth by the bar. The DJ was 10/10. A shout-out to the team working that busy Saturday, the 20th, and to Paul, the manager!

For a friend's hen party yesterday, we booked a private room or area for food, drinks and a crafting activity. It was a great tucked-away space, away from the busy section. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive, and both the cocktails and food were lovely. Would recommend!

Avoid tipping the toilet staff. The attendants regularly overcharge drunk people who ask for a tip for things like spraying aftershave, charging £35 instead of £3:50. Total scam. Avoid tap tipping.
