Market Street Hotel

We booked for one night to meet our daughter and her friends for her birthday, and were upgraded from a ‘Roomy’ room to a suite. Such a lovely treat, with panoramic views of Edinburgh. The bed was very comfortable, and the deep bath and shower were spacious enough for two. There were lovely toiletries, a complimentary minibar, tea, coffee and snacks. Finding the hotel was easy. The lifts take you up to the 7th floor reception and champagne bar, where the welcoming staff offered us a glass of champagne while checking us in. Breakfast was buffet style, with hot plates cooked to order and another glass of champagne. We’d definitely stay again.

We had a brilliant stay at market street hotel. The location is incredible, right there when you leave the train station, and the views from reception and the lounge are beautiful. Breakfast was delicious, with a huge buffet selection and a lovely full English. The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially Carla, who went to some trouble to find me a hairdryer with a diffuser. The room was just the right size, quiet, and had lovely-smelling soaps and other amenities. The bed was super comfy, and the minibar was well stocked. The cookies left in the room for my upcoming birthday were a really nice touch. A 10/10 stay, and I’d definitely visit again.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a stunning view. The minibar was well stocked, and the Keurig coffee and tea were perfect for a quick fix. Staff were friendly and went out of their way to make my stay superb. Market Street Hotel is less than five minutes from Waverley Train Station, close to shops and restaurants. The restaurant is on the 7th floor, serves a nice breakfast and has a lovely city view. I’d certainly come back. Thanks for a lovely stay!

My second stay here, and it didn’t disappoint. I slept like a log in the very comfy bed. The room was a good temperature, the TV worked, and the shower had good pressure. There was a complimentary minibar, plus slippers, robes and a hairdryer. Tea, coffee and biscuits were provided, along with a kettle and coffee machine. Breakfast was great, with the usual buffet choices like yoghurt, dried fruit and nuts, fresh fruit, cereal, bread and pastries, plus cooked breakfasts and porridge. They offered champagne with breakfast too, and it would’ve been rude not to! The waitress was lovely and remembered us from last time. Check-in was easy and came with a complimentary glass of champagne or a non-alcoholic option. This is definitely my new favourite hotel in Edinburgh, and so handy for Waverley and the Old Town. Highly recommended.
