For what I paid, it was a good option for a tight budget and much better than a hostel. I got it very cheaply for one night, so the price made sense for what you get. The room was clean, with a nice bedroom, modern locks, easy access, plenty of power points and a coffee machine. The location was good too. WiFi cut out sometimes, and my phone signal wasn't good. The bed was okay but hard and a bit uncomfortable. The thing I really disliked was someone walking around upstairs at 6 am with very loud, heavy steps, which made it hard to sleep in. It's easy to complain, but I wanted to mention what went right as well.

The decor is quirky, and the room was clean, modern and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It's in a great location, and most of the staff were responsive, though reception less so. Check-in was straightforward. I'd happily stay again.

The room was clean, comfortable enough, and had the basics I needed for one night. The heating was the main problem: it stayed on all night, there was no control in the room, and it got very hot even with the windows open. I called to ask for it to be turned off, but it still wasn't done. The entry code had also been changed without anyone telling me, so I had to ring the owner to get in. They responded reasonably quickly.

There was loads of room, almost like a suite with separate areas, and the decor was lovely. It was clean, well priced, and in a great spot, with plenty of tea and coffee and water in the fridge. A couple of things were awkward: the room got too hot, and although fans were provided, I wanted a way to switch the heating off. I couldn't work out the TV, and Netflix asked for a PIN. Maybe a call or message could have sorted that out. In Room 7, there were mirrors but no sockets nearby, which made doing my hair a pain.

I was in Edinburgh on business and found this small boutique style room perfectly adequate for one person. The access codes were easy to manage, and it was quiet enough to get a good night's rest.
