We keep coming back whenever our travels bring us to Edinburgh. We’ve stayed as a couple many times and twice with our young infant, and the service has been excellent every time. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and that big bath is a highlight on every visit. Having a lovely restaurant downstairs is an extra bonus, making dinner easy and delicious.

There’s loads of indoor and outdoor space, with rugs to keep you warm, and it’s especially dog friendly. I’ve eaten and drunk here more times than I can remember over the years. It’s still one of my favourite places, with a really welcoming atmosphere, fabulous staff, and consistently excellent food and drink. 10/10.

The Raeburn has so much old-fashioned charm and beauty, and we loved staying there. Our room was cosy, lovely and full of character. The location is great, and the fun restaurant downstairs was a nice extra. We’d absolutely recommend it.

For my wife’s birthday we had a fantastic time at The Raeburn. The private dining was a real highlight, with excellent food, brilliant cocktail choices, and staff who were very pleasant and attentive. We could bring the hairy one along too, since it’s dog friendly. Thanks to Jackie and the staff for such a great event.

The wine selection was decent, but dinner felt a bit mediocre for a three-course menu at this price. The starters were all alright and the desserts were fine, nothing special. The turkey was a little bland, while the “blackened” sea bass was overcooked, barely grilled and underseasoned. Mildly underwhelming.
