We had a wonderful stay and would definitely choose this hotel again if we return to Edinburgh. The room was spacious and clean, and had speakers already installed so we could play music throughout, such a cool feature. We loved the youthful, relaxed feel. The heating could have been a bit stronger, perhaps because the windows didn't seem well insulated and some warmth escaped. We weren't cold, though. The receptionist on the morning shift on February 7th was especially friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The pub inside is really good and has special prices for hotel guests. The location is great, and the staff are very polite and friendly. Our hair dryer was broken, but an employee immediately brought us a new one in an unopened box. Thank you very much.

We got a room upgrade, which was a lovely surprise, and the staff were very kind and welcoming. Stay Central Hotel is right in the centre, making it really convenient to explore the area. We had a great stay and would highly recommend it.

Calling the noise from the downstairs bar "lively" is a massive understatement. The bar next door is a Karaoke Bar, and even on weekdays it's daily torture from 10 pm to 1 am. During the four nights I stayed there, I've never wished so much that I couldn't hear. When I asked about it, I was told there were no other rooms and offered earplugs. The room was constantly cold, and there was practically no hot water. Not recommended unless you're willing to drink to make it bearable.

We were worried about noise after reading other reviews, and our room was right above the courtyard, but it didn't affect our stay at all. There are lifts to every floor, which you really appreciate after Edinburgh's cobbles and hills. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Everything we needed was in the room, and anything else was just an ask away. I'd return to this hotel.
