My sister and I had such a lovely time in Edinburgh, and this hotel made it all more relaxing and easy. They went above and beyond for disability needs, and we're very grateful. We're on our way home now, but we'll be back, hopefully for longer next time. It's a great location, within walking distance of all the main interests. The room was spacious, breakfast and evening meal were lovely on both nights, and the hospitality throughout was excellent and friendly. Thank you so much!

We only stayed one night before heading up to Inverness the next day, but the room was really spacious and we liked it. It's quite close to old town, with lots around to explore. We asked the front desk for a pub suggestion and they pointed us toward the grass market area, apparently home to the tiniest pub, the Wee Pub. We went somewhere else in that area, but enjoyed the interesting walk from the hotel. The hotel restaurant looked very good, though we didn't try it. It was a good price, clean and friendly, just a nice place to be.

During my stay at Ten Hill Place Hotel in Edinburgh, a piece of clothing went missing right after housekeeping serviced my room. My stay was still ongoing, and the item was in the room before they came in, not packed away in my luggage. It was a pair of pyjamas with little monetary value, but it meant something to me because of the memories attached to it. When I reported it, the hotel said it had investigated and couldn't find the item. There was no apology or acknowledgment at any point. General Manager Mark McKenzie instead advised me to file a police report to get a crime reference number for insurance. For missing pyjamas after housekeeping service, that felt extremely disproportionate and dismissive. What upset me most wasn't just losing the item, it was how the concern was handled. I felt dismissed instead of taken seriously, and the communication made me feel unreasonable for raising it. The focus seemed to be on avoiding responsibility, rather than resolving things with basic hospitality. I made several attempts to sort it out privately before writing this. A simple apology or small goodwill gesture would've been enough. For many travellers, the issue isn't an item's value, it's trust. You expect your belongings to be safe while staff service your room, and if something goes wrong, you expect care and respect. There are plenty of other hotels in the area to consider. Do not book here if you value your belongings or expect basic respect as a guest.

Kevin made our Christmas break at Ten Hill Hotel especially lovely with his warm, genuine hospitality. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, and his care felt sincere. Rejes and Mark brought fun, uplifting energy too. The staff were all friendly and polite. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the old town and around 20 minutes from the train station. It's a good location overall. The main street outside had a bit of an edge to it, but we didn't feel unsafe, and there was no noise in the rooms. We were on the Christmas package with food included. There were good meal options and the quality was nice, though it could be refined a little. Breakfast had lots of choice and the buffet was always well replenished. The bar staff made excellent drinks and cocktails. We were very happy with the package and would book it again. We'd happily recommend the hotel to friends, family or anyone visiting Edinburgh.

The breakfast was beautiful, especially the haggis, and we enjoyed a meal at the hotel one night too. The staff were so helpful, and the bathroom was immaculate. Our room was beautiful as well. The hotel is close to the centre without being right in the middle of it, so there was no nighttime noise. We couldn't fault our stay. If we return to Edinburgh, we'd definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.
