The cereal left by the host was no use without milk. The room was right by the street and a bus stop, so every bit of outside noise came through. Being beside the front door also meant we heard guests arriving and talking, plus someone walking around upstairs at 3 a.m. The thin curtains let in all the light. The tiny double bed was uncomfortable enough to feel like a torture board, when we managed to sleep at all. This is a converted house, not a proper hotel or decent B&B. Check-in was by text and key box, along with a warning that late checkout would cost £15 an hour. We wanted to leave ASAP, so that wasn't an issue. It does look pretty clean, but I can't understand the good reviews and would tell people to avoid it.

We were here for a boxing event over the weekend, and it had what we needed. The beds were comfy, everything was very clean, and there was tea, coffee and a continental breakfast. The en-suite shower room was great, and parking at the rear was handy. Brilliant for us. Thanks, Jermaine 👍🏼

The manager was easy to reach by phone and really helpful with our questions, and the staff were friendly too. We slept well in the quiet room. The double bed had a fairly firm mattress that suited me, and the electric shower had a good flow. There was a walk-in shower with gel, two large towels, a small towel and toilet roll. Our single room had a double bed, furniture, an en-suite bathroom and a small kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, dishes and cutlery. The fridge had fruit juice, milk, butter and jam. Breakfast items, including cereal, tea bags and coffee, were set out on a tray and topped up each morning by room service. It's a handy base for a London holiday, with a short walk to the Overground and trains into central London. The high street, with shops and banks, is also nearby. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

We spent four weeks at Kathleen House Plus from March to April, and it felt like being at home. The manager and staff were approachable, attentive and always willing to help make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. The location was pleasant, with good access to transport, shops and restaurants. It was a really relaxing stay, and we'd definitely come again. NS

We stayed five nights at Kathleen house. It was clean, with a comfy bed, and the amenities were good. The town centre is nearby, and it's about an 8 minute walk to the tube into London. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I'd recommend it.
