Exeter Court Hotel

We were there in January and paid just £90 for two nights. The blackout curtains were a favourite of mine. It’s a handy base for exploring Devon, roughly five miles from Exeter and 16 from Torquay. Our room was small and clean, with a large en suite. The restaurant is spacious and has a good menu, with everything cooked just right, and the bar is well stocked. Everyone was attentive to what we needed. A real hidden gem for a weekend break.

The corridor carpet had a slight smell, but it didn’t spoil our stay. The manager was exceptionally friendly and made sure we were looked after. Our family room was clean, roomy and comfortable, and breakfast was generous and tasty. I’d happily recommend the hotel for a short family break.

For anyone working nearby and after a relaxed, pleasant stay, this would be a good option. The location is convenient, parking is easy and included, and breakfast was good and part of the reasonable price. My partner and I were happy with the room and its facilities, even though it wasn’t huge. It felt cosy and comfortable, and the shower had strong pressure and got as hot as you wanted. Most of the hotel was lovely and well looked after, though the outside entrance to our room could use some work. Thanks, and I hope this helps others choose where to stay.

My mum stayed by herself for the first night and felt very comfortable as a woman travelling alone. The staff were wonderful, professional, friendly and easy to talk to. Highly recommend. We’ll stay again.
