St Andrews Hotel

The breakfast was delicious and generous, with the best poached eggs I've ever had. There was plenty of parking on site, and the bus stop right outside made getting into the city easy. Our two nights were fantastic: the hotel felt small and cozy, and the professional staff were genuinely warm and welcoming. It's a comfortable, convenient spot for a relaxing stay, and we can't recommend it highly enough.

We spent a couple of nights here and found the room spotless and the staff friendly. Breakfast had an excellent range, and free parking was a welcome bonus. Regular buses leave from the stop outside for the city centre, while the Quay and its excellent restaurants are an easy walk away. Would highly recommend.

The room felt bright and modern, with more facilities than the 4* hotel we stayed in the night before. There were two power sockets and two USB ports on each side of the bed, plus little adjustable reading lights under the wall-mounted bedside lamps, which were handy. Parking was great when it wasn't busy. We parked right by the front door and could leave most of our luggage in the car and fetch it when needed. The value and location are good, though the breakfast felt a bit small and there were food remains in a bedside drawer, which cost it a point. The shower is on the small side and really only suits one person at a time. There isn't a lift to the first and second floors, so I wouldn't recommend it for wheelchair users.

We stayed three nights and were very impressed by how reasonably priced it was compared with similar hotels. The room was quiet, modern and clean, with plenty of sockets and a well-equipped en-suite. Tea and coffee with a kettle were provided, and housekeeping cleaned the room each day while we were out without us having to ask. Breakfast stood out for its quality, generous portions and quick, attentive service. There's plenty of parking behind the hotel, although it fills later in the evening. The entrance is locked at night but our key card got us in easily. We'd definitely return.
