"Our Falkirk hotel is close to some of Scotland's most distinctive sights - the huge horse sculptures in Helix Park known as The Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel, the world's only rotating boat lift, which has to be seen to be believed. You can admire the beautiful scenery along the John Muir Way hiking trail or hunt for bargains in Falkirk's traditional town centre. You're also roughly midway between Edinburgh and Glasgow, and close to top towns including Bo'ness and Denny. All rooms feature a comfy king size bed with four plump pillows and a cosy duvet. The shower was the big disappointment. Cold water pressure kept dropping, so it would turn too hot for a few seconds, then cold. We couldn't find a comfortable temperature, and it was too hot to stand under. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with a kettle for tea and coffee, and the staff were friendly, polite and helpful when we arrived. I booked for one night. They could take a cue from their rivals on bed size and comfort, though that's just my preference.

The refurbished rooms are lovely and have a bath, but the car park made a terrible first impression. It was absolutely filthy, with the whole place and its surroundings looking a mess, not just a little litter around.

After work, it felt like a relaxing place to unwind. My room at the Travelodge was clean and comfortable, and the staff were always friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back.

A great Travel Lodge, and very quiet. It's out of the way with minimal services at the location, but there's a Chinese buffet nearby.

Worst Travelodge I've ever stayed in. The toilet wouldn't refill after flushing unless I moved the valve by hand. The shower curtain was covered in black mould, and the shower head leaked at the pipe because a seal was missing, sending more water down the wall and onto the floor than where it should go. The water feed kept switching between fast and slow, making the shower swing from freezing to scalding and back. It felt unsafe.
