The staff were welcoming, and the rest of the bedroom was clean and tidy. Breakfast was decent, though pretty average. I stayed in the seagull room, which has a lovely sea view, a comfortable double bed and an ensuite. The room could use some care: there were lots of marks on the walls and chipped paint, and it really needs freshening up. The shower needs updating too, and the grimy shower head was disappointing. I’d call it good value, but that shower really needs attention.

It’s an easy walk to Gyllynsvase Beach, and from some of the rooms you can see a little bit of it. The ladies I met were lovely and made my family and me feel welcome. Our room was a decent size, with a mini-fridge, which was a great touch. The bathroom was nice and up to date. Definitely good value for money.

The gardens out front had just been trimmed and looked lovely, and the property was well kept. My room was tidy, very comfortable and had everything I needed, plus a great ocean view. Breakfast was really nice. The host was very friendly and helpful, and the staff were polite and welcoming.

The service was very good and breakfast was delicious. I had a wonderful stay, with a comfortable room and a great view of the sea. I visit Falmouth often, so this will be my go-to hotel.

The location is hard to beat, just a stone’s throw from the beach and close to the enchanting Princess Pavilion Gardens, where there’s the Shell Grotto and a tunnel to the beach. I’ve just come back from a delightful stay at the Poltair Guest House. The staff were so friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable, and my vegetarian breakfast was cooked perfectly.
