We were in town for the Faversham Literary Festival and stayed here with friends. The oak-beamed room was spacious and comfortable, and we had great food in the evening. Service from the bar staff was friendly and professional. This is clearly a popular pub, and it's good to see it thriving. I'd highly recommend it.

We had a fantastic meal at The Sun Inn restaurant last night. There are plenty of seasonal options on the menu, and everything was presented beautifully and tasted great. The service is excellent, as it always is. The Sun Inn is a treasured pub and restaurant locally, and one of the best in Faversham. I'd highly recommend it for lunch or dinner. They deserve all five stars.

Even with a loud bar just beside our room, it was remarkably quiet. The staff were super friendly, and the centrally located pub has loads of history and character. A couple of small things could be fixed easily. The emergency light above the toilet was so bright we covered it with clothes to sleep. There also wasn't enough light for applying makeup, I'm told. We only stayed one night, so didn't mention it, but these should be simple to sort.

We ate all our meals at the hotel during our three-day stay, and the food was amazing: hot, quick, locally sourced, and with plenty of breakfast choices. Amber was a real credit to the place for her knowledge, friendliness and manner. All the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, and the hotel has a cosy atmosphere with a roaring fire. Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we might need or have forgotten to bring. The ecological soap and other little touches were lovely. The old alarm clock can't connect to modern phones, so it doesn't work as a speaker, and I found the room temperature difficult to control. Those are minor points, though. We've stayed in lots of hotels for getaways, and this is by far the best.
