The Davron Hotel

I slept so peacefully through the night, one of the best nights’ sleep I’ve had. My room was at the front of the hotel, just metres from the sea, so I could hear the waves gently rolling back and forth all night. Bliss. I was working in Fraserburgh and staying for one night through my employer. I’d been a bit apprehensive at first because the hotel seemed out of the way and had a beer garden, but I couldn’t have been happier with the company’s choice. I was in room 3, and my colleague was in room 1, just across the hall, which made it easy to chat or pass things over. The room was lovely, spacious, clean and toasty, exactly what I needed after a day on the road in storm Chandra, being battered by the wind whenever I got out of the car. Having an iron and board, hairdryer and luggage rack was really convenient and much appreciated. The big, warm, clean bathroom had a cubicle shower, just what I needed in the morning, along with scrambled eggs on toast and tea. Yum!

The dining room was surprisingly spacious and modern behind the traditional stone facade. We ate at the hotel both nights, with a big group on Saturday and the carvery on Sunday. Both meals were excellent, with a few quirky touches, and a whole team of young women gave friendly, efficient service. A lovely weekend in this great wee toon. Definitely recommend.

This was my second business stay, and I’ll be back again. Rosehearty is a beautiful little village, and the food was amazing. The staff were very friendly. Highly recommended!

The food was great all weekend, with an awesome dinner and breakfast. The pancakes deserve a mention. 🥞🫶👀❤️ Indy, Sharon and Sky were working in the restaurant, always smiling and so friendly and welcoming. We were invited here for a few days for a tournament, so we hadn’t booked the place ourselves. For a quiet village BnB, we weren’t expecting much, as they’re usually not great, but we were pleasantly surprised. It’s a stunning, friendly-run house, clean and tidy, right on a beautiful beach. The whole place was quiet and relaxed. What a well-kept secret! Highly recommended for a visit or stay.
