Ibis Styles Glasgow Centre George Square

We paid £124 a night for a twin room with breakfast, which was delicious. The hotel is clean and in a great spot, just a few minutes’ walk from the Railway station and The Ivy, where we ate. The Spiritualist cocktail bar is right next door. It was packed on Saturday, and we got the last table at 4pm, so I’d book ahead. The cocktails were good and reasonably priced. Bargain ❤️ Highly recommend.

The staff made this place stand out for me. They were so friendly and accommodating, always happy to say hello and make you feel at home. I had some lovely chats with them while waiting for my boyfriend to arrive. We didn’t hear any noise in the corridors, and we’re planning to come back. It was very affordable too. The room had what we needed, with comfy beds and a small bathroom that was well equipped. Downstairs there’s a 24-hour bar and restaurant, with books, games, TVs and free hot drinks. The hotel also offers £9 parking for 24 hours, which helped a lot; the car park is very close by. It’s central and easy to get to, with lots of bars and restaurants right nearby, including many places named among Glasgow’s best. Everything we needed was within walking distance.

The staff were especially nice, and the included breakfast was good. Connor deserves a shout-out for sorting out my booking mistake with a laugh and a smile. It was my first time here and I found the stay really pleasant. The room was fine, though a little smaller than in other hotels. Great city centre location. Highly recommended, and my go-to Glasgow hotel from now on.

The staff were all friendly and professional, and the rooms were comfortable and well equipped. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, but spent time in the bar area and felt relaxed there. We enjoyed the pool table and the free hot drinks bar. The quirky decor had a funny local feel, and as a members’ treat we each got a Tunnocks tea cake and a can of Irn Bru. We’d definitely stay again and recommend it.
