We had a family room at a really good price, one of our best deals for an overnight airport stay. Our flight was at 7am, so it was great to have a convenient, comfortable place that kept things simple. Check-in at the kiosk took minutes: we scanned the booking, picked up the key cards, and went straight to the room. Checkout was just as quick, drop the keys and go. That saved time when we arrived tired and wanted an early night. The car park was a big plus. It was secure, had plenty of spaces, and was right beside the hotel, so we didn’t have to haul our luggage far or think about taxis or shuttles in the dark. We left the car there until it was time to go to the airport. There were two adults and kids in our family room, and it had enough space, a comfortable double bed plus pull-out or single beds for the little ones, a clean bathroom with good hot water and lots of towels, tea and coffee facilities, and free Wi-Fi that worked well for streaming before bed. The beds were the real highlight, as usual with Premier Inn. We all slept like logs despite being nervous about the early start, and woke rested. There wasn’t any airport noise in our room. We didn’t need breakfast because our flight was so early. The airport was close enough for a quick transfer, without the higher prices of the on-site hotels. Great value and reliable service, just what we wanted for a night’s sleep before a morning flight. Highly recommended for an early departure, and we’ll be back next time we fly early. Five stars all the way!

The location was great, and the staff were so lovely and welcoming. Ryan served us and was happy to answer all our questions. The rooms were lovely too, and the showers were great. Looking forward to coming back soon.

It’s a shame we only stayed one night. We had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant, with first-class service and lovely food. From checking in with Amy-Lee? to Donna making up an extra bed in our room, we couldn’t have asked for better service. All your staff were so friendly. I only managed to get Donna’s and Amy-Lee’s names, and they’re a credit to the hotel.

The rooms were excellent, the staff were excellent, and the food was very good. The problem is that, like many Premier Inns these days, the place seems understaffed. People are juggling check-ins, food orders, and delivering food and drinks to tables, so everything takes much longer than it should.

The hotel, rooms, and location are all ideal, but I still had to leave a bad score because of the restaurant experience. I was there for just one night before flying out the next day, and the waitress was one of the driest, least friendly people I’ve met in ten years of travelling overseas from the US. I don’t know if she was young or upset about working on New Year’s, but for the short time she served me, there was barely any interaction. My meal was £23 and I tipped her £5, hoping it might bring a smile or some friendly gesture. I know tipping isn’t normal there, but I tip everywhere I go overseas, whatever the local custom. After that encounter, or lack of one, I was ready to sleep at the airport just to have a chance of seeing a friendly face before I left.
