About 20 colleagues and I went for lunch, booked for 12:30 pm, and nearly an hour passed before starters arrived. They came out at different times, so some people had finished while others were still waiting, and some starters were cold. Another hour went by before the mains, again arriving unevenly, and some portions were pitiful. When we raised the delays, staff seemed uninterested and blamed the small kitchen. If the kitchen can't handle the numbers, perhaps cap the table bookings. We had to get back to work, so asked for desserts to take away. Three were packed into one box; when we explained we were heading to different offices, the woman we spoke to just pulled a face and said nothing. Other diners told us they were having a similar experience. Staff said they'd discount the bill, which was just under £400, but took off only about £5. Laughable and embarrassing. The service was shocking from start to finish. We won't return, and I wouldn't recommend eating here.

The location worked perfectly for us, and there was ample parking at the rear. I booked three rooms for an overnight stay with my family last week. They were amazing, nicely decorated, clean and stocked with refreshments. The staff were fantastic and so helpful, going above and beyond to help my elderly aunt settle in. They were also very accommodating with dietary requirements at breakfast.

Breakfast was excellent, and our evening main meal was really nice. We slept peacefully both nights, and the room was very clean. The room cleaners were helpful too. When we checked in, all the staff were brilliant, welcoming and polite. My wife and I stayed for two nights and would recommend giving the place a try. Thanks to everyone.

Sunday and Monday nights were lovely, and we had a clean, nice family room for our Friday-to-Monday stay. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast didn't start until 10 am, a bit late for us, though we all enjoyed our meal on Monday. There were functions in the bar below the rooms on Friday and Saturday, and the noise was very loud. If noise keeps you awake, I'd choose a weekday stay.

The rooms were clean and the staff really friendly, but the DJ in the bar downstairs made the whole place noisy at night. There was no sound insulation, so the walls and furniture vibrated. Credit to the DJ and sound system, though. The booking description didn't mention the DJ.
