Check-in staff were good, and the breakfast was a bright spot: a good self-service selection from 7am, handy if you're working on a Saturday, with welcoming staff. The location worked well for me too, just five minutes from where I was working. The room was less satisfying. The shower pressure on the first floor seemed to fluctuate, and although it looked new, the water swung between hot and cold after a long day at work. The adjoining pub's food was mediocre. My steak pie with chips and peas came in what felt like a child's portion, with just a small amount of peas and chips. Staff were attentive but forgot my dessert, so four stars overall and three for the room.

The room was huge and extremely comfortable, with no problems there. I did find some hair in the bathroom from the previous guest. Apart from that, the room was lovely.

Pretty much a standard Premier Inn. The rooms are clean and the bed's comfy. There's a Brewers Fayre attached, with good food at good prices, and breakfast is served there too. I had no complaints about any of the food I tried.

It's a nice, quiet hotel, handy for the main roads towards Kirkcaldy and beyond. Glenrothes is very green, with some nice walks beyond the hotel, so have a look around. I enjoyed the chicken salad at the Brewers Fayre restaurant. The staff get overrun at times, though I suppose that's normal these days. A pleasant stay, no complaints.

Handy location for my job, with McDonald's, BP and Biejing banquet close by if I don't fancy eating at the pub next door.
