Cumbria Grand Hotel

The sea view was amazing, and the room was warm and comfortable, though its wallpaper could do with replacing. Everyone on staff was so pleasant and friendly, and they couldn’t do enough for us. We also enjoyed seeing the peacock each day. It’s a beautiful place, and we’ll definitely stay again. Thank you so, so much!

The staff really made this place for me. They were friendly and professional, worked happily together, and nothing seemed too much trouble. They’ve been there quite a while, and seem happy at work. Easily the best hotel staff I’ve come across. The rooms are a bit dated, but still cracking value for money. The food is great, with very generous portions. Well done to everyone.

We were upgraded free of charge to a superior sea view double, which made an already enjoyable stay even better. The location is great, with excellent views of the sea. Our room and the other areas were clean and well equipped. Staff were friendly, helpful and very professional. The food was very good, and the service was up to restaurant standard. We’re definitely planning to return later in the year.

We’ve stayed twice now, once in January and again in February, and can’t fault the hotel or staff. Christine, the hotel’s greatest asset, stood out, but everyone from the reception team who first welcomed us to the bar staff, waiters, cleaners and Management helped make our stays special. It’s well suited to couples and families, and it’s dog friendly too. We’ll definitely rebook and become regulars in the near future.
