My mum's 70th birthday treat involved a lot of unnecessary trips up and down the stairs, which was hard with her arthritis. We had two rooms on different floors. One had heating but no hot water, while the other had hot water but no heating, so we had to share the shower between floors. The shower gel had run out by the second shower. The bed barely felt big enough, and the pillows smelled like sick. It was very noisy at night, when I could sleep at all. Be warned, the reviews and ratings seem to be from before the new owners took over a few months ago. This was by far the worst place I've stayed, and I'd recommend avoiding it.

We felt very welcome here, and the breakfast was really good. Great hotel and good value for money. The chef was pleasant and served us without any trouble, so it was a 10 out of 10 from us. I don't understand people who go looking for something to complain about, like the person moaning about waiting a while for breakfast. If it were precooked, they'd probably complain about that too. Thank you.

The rooms were nice and clean, and the host was lovely. Breakfast took a bit of time, and I could hear quite a lot through the walls and from upstairs in the early hours, which was a little annoying. Still, it was a nice place to stay.

It had a warm, homely family feel, with clean, spacious rooms and very good prices. I'd highly recommend it.
