The Granby Hotel

The room itself was great. What bothered me was that management leaves one person on shift to run the whole hotel. With staffing like that, they don’t even serve a proper cooked breakfast, just microwave beans and egg on toast. At around £70 or more, I’d expect a proper breakfast from a B&B. They need several staff on duty for health and safety, because asking one person to do everything is ridiculous.

A handy place to stay if you’re working nearby, with a big car park, though it can fill up. We enjoyed our short stay in a clean, tidy room in Lodge 3. Any complaints were dealt with quickly, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was very basic, but there was fresh coffee, orange juice, cereal, eggs cooked to your choice and plenty of baked beans.

The staff were so friendly and breakfast was good. The room and bathroom were both a bit small, with hardly any space for toiletries, but I’d still come back. There’s parking at the back.

I work around north Kent often and sometimes need somewhere for three or four nights in a row. I tell my office to book me here whenever they can. The new rooms have made a good impression, and the staff are always polite and professional. It’s consistently clean and accommodating, and for the price I think it’s the best hotel for miles.
