The cooked breakfast came out fresh and hot, and the croissants were the best I’ve ever had. The whole team was friendly and professional, working hard to keep things running on a very busy weekend. Our rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The shower was stuck on hot, but maintenance fixed it while we were out, so we still gave five stars. Greenwich was the perfect location for us.

The service was great, and being 12 minutes from the 02 made the location okay for us. The room was very cold even with the heating on, and noise was a real problem: we could hear conversations and cars outside until 1am. The bed frame in room 207 has clearly had better days. Its creaking and squeaking made trying to be romantic pretty off-putting. They need to change it.

A couple of things in the room weren't quite right: the roofing panels weren't fitted properly, and there was a mysterious stain on the headboard. Apart from that, it was completely fine. There weren't many staff around, which seems to be the usual these days, but everyone I did meet was polite and friendly. The location is close to shops, within a reasonable walk of Cutty Sark, and near plenty of transport connections.

UPDATE: Since my first review, things have changed. They have a few new key staff now, and Nicholas is very professional and polite. Waiting and the food have both improved, which is why I'm revising what I wrote. Well done. I was here for work for a couple of weeks with four colleagues. The first few nights were okay and breakfast was good, but evening meals were hit and miss, with nobody seeming to be in charge. People would wander into the restaurant area looking for someone to serve them at the bar. We booked a table for 18:45 and were still waiting for someone to take our order at 19:45. When a colleague politely asked about service, staff just looked at him and ignored him. Back at the table, we could hear them laughing and joking. After another 15 minutes, we decided to look elsewhere. When we explained, one staff member said, "it's not my fault we are short staffed," even though the restaurant was only about 20% full. We'd been booked in for another four weeks, so I was negotiating with the office to move us. There's a restaurant two minutes' walk away that I can recommend, and we planned to eat there from then on.

The hotel is in good condition and the rooms are nice. It's close to Deptford Bridge DLR, Greenwich DLR and the overground station. I would stay at Premier Inn hotels again, but probably skip this one. They charge enough, yet the service didn't feel up to scratch. Reception staff seemed uninterested and unprofessional, and I called more than ten times before arriving to ask for a room with a bath without anyone answering. When I asked in person, they said nothing could be done, though other Premier Inn hotels have always managed to accommodate me easily. The cleaners were much friendlier than anyone at reception.
