It was clean and warm, and I got a good night's sleep in room 212. The receptionist was welcoming and polite, and for the price I paid, I couldn't have asked for more. I stayed on the 17th of December and found the hotel not too bad. Hotels like these lost a lot of support during the pandemic, with ten of thousands of pounds lost. I've stayed in much worse places and would come back. Thanks to the staff for a nice stay, keep up the good work. D.P.

We were told heating wasn't working in other rooms too, so the problems weren't limited to ours. Our room itself was in unacceptable shape, with bed springs coming through the mattress and making it practically unusable. A loose heater hanging from the wall and curtains broken off their rail and draped over it made the room feel like a fire hazard. The electrics kept fusing overnight, leaving us without power. We also found an outside security door left open, so anyone could walk straight into the building. No facilities were open or available during our stay, despite being advertised. When we reported these issues, the staff were unhelpful and made no effort to sort them out. It felt like “Faulty Towers” without any humour. The stay was extremely poor and, more importantly, unsafe. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Not the best, though it did the job as somewhere to stay while working. The appliances and furniture were dated, the TV was miles away instead of being wall mounted, and the beds were a bit small. The bathrooms were nicely done. There was no room service or open restaurant. It's not for a holiday, though the Black Country Museum isn't far by car.

I was in the room for ten minutes at most before leaving. There was other people's hair in the bed, sink and all over the bathroom, and the sink leaked water across the floor. The whole place felt damp and dilapidated and smelled horrible. I told the front desk it was filthy and was told, "sorry no refund". Stay away. It's the worst hotel I've ever been in. The owners should be embarrassed to charge for these rooms.
