The breakfast at Healing Manor was a treat, and the cheerful, supportive staff made the experience even better. We called reception around 8:30am to ask about a table while we were nearby getting car repairs done. They were expecting us and gave us a very warm welcome. The set price was £15 each, with everything on the menu included. We started with the buffet: juice, fresh fruit, yogurts, croissants and cereals. For the main, we chose the wonderfully flavoured smoked salmon and scrambled egg, with two rounds of toast each. We added mushrooms, and my husband had beans too. There was a pot of tea, then a delicious frothy cappuccino. It was the best breakfast experience, in a superb setting, and set us up for the day. We’ll have to treat ourselves to another special Healing Manor breakfast 😅.

The staff were friendly, polite and efficient, and I can’t praise them enough. We had a great overnight stay in a spacious standard room with lovely decor, and enjoyed a superb seven-course tasting menu. Come hungry, the portions aren’t small.

The room was beautifully arranged, the atmosphere felt right for the day, and family and friends had so many compliments for the delicious food. Charlotte and her Team at Healing Manor handled my Father’s Wake with compassion, professionalism and care from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble, which made a difficult day feel a little lighter. Thank you to everyone for helping us give our Dad the send off he deserved. We’re genuinely grateful.

We brought our three labradors and could leave them in the room while we had dinner. We were there for one night to see friends in the local panto and eat afterwards. Both dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were excellent. The hotel and grounds are beautiful, and our room was by the lake. The staff were all professional and helpful. A brilliant stay, and we’ll return.

The service was good and the atmosphere stayed quiet and peaceful, even with every table full. At Healing manor, the restaurant was tastefully decorated, with vintage China on the tables. The Christmas afternoon tea came in two servings. First were the savouries, beautifully presented and delicious, including tasty butternut squash soup served hot in a little teacup. The sweets came on another cake stand, with scones, clotted cream and jam, panettone and delicate treats that were all a delight. The novelty Brussels sprout truffle was to die for. Fantastic value for money, and we’ll definitely be back.
