The White Horse Inn

We’d just left another pub because of its “policies,” so decided to have a family meal at the White Horse Ridgewell. We were welcomed with smiles and shown to a nice, roomy table in the bar. Drinks were ordered quickly. Mocktails weren’t on the menu, but the woman behind the bar kindly made one for my teenage daughter, who loved it enough to order another. That was really going the extra mile. Four of us had burgers and my son chose fish and chips. The food was hot and delicious, and we barely noticed the wait while playing pool. We had such a good time that we want to come back soon for Sunday lunch. Thanks for being so great!

We’ve stayed a couple of times and have been very happy with the food and service, from the lovely breakfasts to the evening meals. The accommodation is comfortable and quiet. It’s been a lovely stay each time. Thank you, we’ll see you again.

We found this place over the bank holiday weekend and what a find. The room was spacious, the shower was really nice, and the restaurant had a pleasant layout with plenty of space between tables. The food was nicely presented and perfectly cooked, and service was friendly and attentive. Breakfast was just right and cooked perfectly too. Every staff member we met made the visit better. We’re already planning to come back.

The rooms are out behind the pub, set up like little stable yard chalets, and they're roomy, warm and comfortable. They get serviced every day, and on a weekday the price is a real bargain. The pub itself has good food and a great choice of beers, and everyone we met was friendly and ready to help. A lovely little country place.
