Days Inn By Wyndham Hamilton

The only real plus is the spot just off the motorway. The room, though, was the most disgusting I’ve ever been in. There was pubic hair in the bathroom, along with mould, dust and stains everywhere. Basic and dated would have been fine, but it still needs to be clean. I know Days inn is usually among the cheapest, but these days it costs about the same as Travelodge or Ibis Budget, where the rooms are clean. I can’t recommend this place. Spend a little more and stay somewhere clean.

The locals were welcoming, and the service has been brilliant so far. The workers have been really kind and helpful. Our room could have been better, though: when we arrived there was lots of dust and hair, plus toothpaste marks in the sink. Apart from that, things have been good.

I’m disabled, but the accessible spaces were full and none had blue badges displayed. After I parked in a regular space, a member of staff who worked as a cleaner at days inn told us to move because she said it was her space as an employee. I told her she had no more right to it than we did. She spoke very poor English and was likely from Poland. She then parked in the gridded area meant for fire, police and ambulance vehicles. When I pointed out that she couldn’t park there, she claimed employees were exempt, saying they relied on her to cover shifts when a staff member didn’t turn up, so she counted as emergency staff. The attitude was appalling. Nobody seems to care, and some staff badly need to be cleared out.

Absolutely filthy, with mould in the room. We left because of it, and Jamie Daly said we’d get a refund, but nothing has been sent. Amazon drivers had been living there for three months, and the room wasn’t cleaned when they left.
