The shower was lovely and big, and our room was clean and spacious. We didn’t hear any noise from the pub below. It may not have been the prettiest room, but it was great value for money. You get what you pay for, so manage your expectations, people. Thanks for having us.

We were just stopping overnight before continuing our journey early the next morning, so the party downstairs wasn’t what we wanted. The pub was having a party that sounded fun, but the noise went on for hours. I wasn’t expecting total silence in a pub, of course, but be warned if you’re looking for a quiet night’s sleep, this isn’t the place for you. If you want a lively party night, though, it’s perfect.

Our stay was otherwise tolerable since all we needed was a bed for the night, but on Friday, our last night, karaoke in the pub below went on until 1am. The music was so loud the room shook. We knew there might be some noise, but nothing on the website mentioned karaoke, so we hadn’t brought ear protection. I’ve never experienced anything so ridiculously loud. It felt like unsafe decibel levels for people in the pub, let alone those of us upstairs. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, and I’ve had no reply to my emails about the stay. The mounts that hold the mattresses are left outside in all weather, and my partner found bugs in the bed!

The room was warm and clean, but the pub downstairs was awful noisy. The floor was literally vibrating until midnight. There’s also a noisy main road, and drunk customers leave the pub below the bedroom window. Avoid this place unless you’re hard of hearing. One listing calls it a 4-star hotel, but it’s nowhere near that. The loudest place I’ve ever stayed.
