We had an excellent breakfast, and the evening food was well above average for a fairly typical country pub menu. The room was clean and comfortable, with an en suite. The shower was a bit temperamental, though it did eventually work. We stayed two nights in this remote spot and had very quiet sleep. There was one cask ale on tap, Adnams, which is pretty standard around here, plus a few keg beers and ciders, including Hawkstone. The Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Malbec were very drinkable. Service was great, everyone was friendly, and I’d highly recommend staying here.

The hotel’s tucked away off the beaten track, which I love, though the phone signal suffers. I had no signal at all during my two nights. Staff were super helpful and the food was a high standard. The room was clean and comfortable, just what you’d expect at this price.

Mark the owner was helpful from the start, giving me directions, sorting out my late check-in and sending pictures to show how to enter the hotel. I was working in the area at a festival and stayed two nights. The room was cozy and did the job for my work stay. Breakfast and coffee were top notch. What a hidden gem!

The evening meal was tasty and nicely cooked, and breakfast was generous and very tasty too. We stayed as accommodation guests and were very happy with our choice. I wasn’t sure about booking because there was no website and not much of an online presence, but I’m glad we went. It’s a lovely building, and our pleasant, quiet room had some nice pieces of furniture. The service was friendly and made us feel welcome. I’d highly recommend it and would definitely stay again if I’m in the area.

The food was fabulous, with very generous portions. We went for dinner last night and had a great meal in a nice atmosphere, with friendly staff. The food quality should bring more people through the door. This place is a little gem, highly recommend it x
