The room at Cedar Court Harrogate was quiet, comfortable and felt fresh, with a large bed and a good-sized TV. Cleaning was mostly fine, though I spotted a little debris under the side table. The bathroom was clean but seemed a bit dated and could use an update. None of that was a major issue, and I had a pleasant stay. I’d be happy to return.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and there was plenty to choose from at the breakfast buffet. Staff were friendly and efficient all weekend. Special mention to the two people behind the bar, who really went out of their way to make our stay better.

The New Year celebration dinner was one of the best we’ve had at several hotels for this event, and breakfast was first class. The evening meal on another night was just okay, though. Some of the triple-cooked chips with the main course were burnt. They offered to replace them, but halfway through a burger wasn’t a great time for that. We’d stayed here before and knew what sort of hotel it was. We came for the two-day New Year package, from 30th December to 1st Jan, and added an extra night, so we’re leaving on 2nd Jan. We arrived early for a 2.30pm Turkish Bath booking in town. Our room wasn’t ready, which was fine, and they let us park. Checking in later was straightforward. We asked for an itinerary for the package but there wasn’t one, and nobody could answer our questions. After we got settled, hung up our suits and dresses and showered, we went to the bar. The bar staff were pleasant and helpful. Harry helped us later by finding answers and even getting the events manager for us. We’d been assured we wouldn’t have to move rooms for the extra night, but a cleaner knocked early, then later someone walked in without knocking. I understand it was the hotel manager, but that’s not good practice. We enjoyed our stay overall, though I’d prefer the different departments to communicate with each other.

We’ve stayed in quite a few hotels, and Cedar Court Hotel is very luxurious and comfortable. The rooms are spacious enough to move around in, and the food was good. Service was great, especially from a young blonde woman who’s been there six years. I didn’t catch her name, but it began with L, maybe lorren or Lorraine. Thanks to everyone. We’d definitely stay again.
