Fountains Guest House

We had no trouble parking, and the bed was comfortable enough for a great night’s sleep. After a lovely hot shower, we enjoyed the gluten-free breakfast, which had good options. Staff also kindly made extra scrambled egg for my nephew when we asked. Highly recommend, and thank you!

Our room was spotless and had everything we needed, including a fan for the May heatwave. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff serving it were friendly. Parking was easy, and check-in was quick and simple. It’s only a short walk into Harrogate. We couldn’t fault the place and will definitely be back. 10/10.

The room, Room 10, was clean and nicely presented, with thoughtful extras like fresh milk. The bathroom had toiletries, tissues, nice towels, and a really good shower, though the shower door needs adjusting so it closes properly. Breakfast was good, and staff were friendly. We’d recommend the place. There was plenty of helpful information about access, parking, and local places to visit, and the location is good for walking into the centre. We could hear the kitchen staff from the breakfast room, and the extractor fan was a bit loud when running. We’d have preferred breakfast in the larger room. The only real problem was the creaky bed, which disturbed our sleep.

We’ve stayed here twice and both times found the price good for Harrogate. There’s been a car park space available on each visit, though parking permits are available if not. The location is handy, about a 10-15 minute walk downhill to the town’s cafes, shops, and restaurants. This time our room looked across the small park beside the building, away from the busy road. It had a super king bed, sitting area, and ensuite. We didn’t spend much time there, but it was warm and comfortable, with a great shower. Breakfast was lovely, though we didn’t have the cooked option, which looked good. The only downside this time was that the room could use a fresh coat of paint, so I’ve given the room four stars. Otherwise, great, and we’d stay again.
