The beds were the one thing that didn't suit me. They're very firm, and I prefer a soft or medium mattress. That's just personal preference, though, not a real complaint. If firm beds work for you, I'd recommend this place very highly. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, and their dog is lovely too. The rooms are nice and the view is great. Most everything else is wonderful.

Misty, the silver labrador, was a lovely bit of company on my solo trip in England. I spent two nights here and would definitely recommend it. The hostel is in a great location, with warm, friendly service. I arrived outside check-in hours but could still get into my room easily. Keith communicated everything clearly and suggested a few things to see in Hastings, which I was glad to visit.

Keith was really friendly and took the time to remember my name and chat kindly. The accommodation was very good value, and its position made it easy to head to the beach and fit in plenty of swims. I loved staying at Alexander's and will be back!

The single room on the top floor was really nice, and the staff were very friendly. I stayed at Alexander’s in April and enjoyed it so much I'd rate the place 100 out of 100. If you're seeing a show at the nearby theatre, it's only about a four-minute walk.

The room was spotless, with a balcony and sea view, and the food was good. The manageress and staff were first class and made for a really pleasant stay. My son and I would both recommend this place without hesitation, and we'll definitely return next time we're in Hastings.
