Dinner was the best part, really tasty and cooked well. Breakfast was less good, though still enjoyable. The reception team were super helpful, too. The hotel is easy to reach and has lots of free parking. Our room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of hot water, good pressure, fluffy white towels and those free Biscoff biscuits I enjoyed. The pillows were very thin, though, and the shower head needs replacing. It could use some paint around the place. The lifts weren't working, but with only two floors to get around, it wasn't a huge problem.

The WiFi was fast and dependable everywhere I tried it, even in the bedrooms and garden, which was a real bonus for work and evening streaming. The food was another highlight: breakfast and dinner were delicious, nicely presented, and generous, with plenty of choice. Everyone we met at Aubrey Park Hotel was warm and friendly, and they really seemed to care about making us feel welcome. Nothing felt like too much trouble. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the hotel has a relaxed, quietly stylish feel. I couldn't fault my stay and would happily recommend it. I'll definitely be back.

The rooms were reasonably comfortable, with clean sheets and nice towels, but they weren't cleaned during our stay. For what we're paying, that's not good enough. Breakfast was poor, too: the food was cold, some things were overcooked, and the fruit salad had far too many apples. The bar and wine were below standard. The white Sauvignon Blanc and red wines they had from other countries weren't good. We all know a good white Sauvignon Blanc comes from Malborough NZ. This wasn't my first visit, but this time the whole place seemed run down and dirty. The carpets need cleaning or replacing, the bar and restaurant furniture needs a proper clean, and the restaurant floor was filthy. The restaurant needs a revamp. The hotel as a whole needs cleaning from top to bottom, painting, the woodwork re-varnished, and all the windows and frames cleaned. Get the food sorted out too, including hash browns you can actually eat. The road into the hotel has lots of potholes, and the lighting between the main road and the hotel needs sorting. There are disabled parking spaces, but vans and other people who aren't disabled are allowed to use them.

Thank goodness this was a group tour. If I'd booked as an individual, I would've walked straight out. It's the worst hotel I've stayed at with a group, and the hotel didn't seem to care even though our driver did his best to organise everything. Most staff were brilliant and trying to help, including a male waiter, but a few staff and management were rude and obnoxious. On the first night, we found dirty underwear left by the previous occupants, the bathroom was dirty, and there was only one towel for double use. My wife is vegan, and her only options for both nights were pasta or vegetables. The food was awful and cold, and took ages to replenish. They put our group of 84 in a small room that barely fit us, with a buffet. The manager told us our driver had to eat by 6.30 on the second night or miss dinner because they were busy. We also saw one of the chefs, still in full uniform and apron, having a cigarette and urinating in the bushes while we were smoking. Disgusting. I hope he changed and washed his hands. Worst hotel I've ever stayed at.

The room was a decent size and there was plenty of parking. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very nice. Breakfast had a good choice, though the hot food was only lukewarm. The bathroom extractor fan didn't seem to work, which was a pain when showering.
