We enjoyed sitting in the pretty garden before heading out for the evening, sipping locally made cider from the honesty bar. The hotel is an easy ten-minute walk into central Hereford. The red brick building is beautiful, with a large garden, and we received a warm welcome. Although we arrived before check-in, we could park and collect our keys because we were going hiking and expected to return after check-in time. Our room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was fabulous, freshly prepared with good quality local ingredients. I’d definitely return and highly recommend it.

We were on a cycling trip and had no trouble arranging secure bike storage. The room at the top of the house was lovely, with views across the city, and breakfast was good. The staff were really friendly, and it’s a quiet place just outside the centre.

The beds were very comfortable, and the large rooms were nicely decorated with a lovely view over the garden. Breakfast was very good, with gluten-free options available. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly, and communicated well before our visit. We had a great stay at Somerville House and would highly recommend it. 👍
